Now that you've broken down and gotten your iPhone, the question is, "What's it really going to be like to live with an iPhone?" Or if you're my brother who's in iPhone denial, it wil be, "What features are going to make it even harder for me to hold out?" Even eight days after hitting the streets, things are moving pretty quickly.
The biggest news? There are plenty of Web 2.0/Ajax applications which are coming out for the iPhone which can run within the confines of Safari. My favorites?
The Accuweather iPhone Widget
Animated radar, hourly forecast, 15 day forecast all in one. Keep it running in a separate window in Safari for ready access

So it isn't really a widget, but this website gives you a place to stash your passwords in a secured fashion, as the standard encypted password storage application a la blackberry is sorely missing from iPhone 1.0. Rather than just a password protected website where your data is kept unencrypted (like if you just email yourself a list of passwords or use Yahoo! Notes), there is an applet which runs on your iPhone that encrypts all data before sending it to Passpack's website. Neat and free.
Google Telekinesis
Still in alpha (it's the new beta), but already this app shows how much The Google is willing to step to up make the iPhone a first rate device, hype aside. This app, analagous to Jonas Salling's excellent Salling Clicker does some of the same things (iTunes remote), but much more already. Cam grabs, remote file access, device control are a great start for a feature set. It's geeky, free and awesome already.
